Students,
Nice job answering our first post. I hope everyone can get on now ans is more comfortable with blogging.
What are some of the most vivid, interesting, funny or sad descriptions in the book so far? Why do these descriptions stand out?
In chapter 5 Bud and his mother discuss doors opening and closing. How does this metaphor relate to Bud?
How does Bud use his list of rules to help him through difficult situations?

ReplyDeleteI think the worst moment in the book so far is when the Amoses locked Bud in the shed for trying to protect himself. If you think about it, the Amoses are just selfish people so Bud didn't deserve that at all.
-Spencer

ReplyDeleteThis metaphor relates to Bud because of his name and how his mother says that there is always an opportunity to blossom (shine.)Also, the saying means when the path ends (something goes wrong), turn around and take another path
(relax, fix it and turn it into something good.
